It’s the end of summer: dog days, back-to-school rush, last-minute vacations, trips to the State Fair. For whatever reason you’ve put off registering for the USCPFA National Convention in October, we’ve got good news! Our early-bird registration rate of $225 has been extended to registrations received by September 8, so you can stop kicking yourself for missing the deadline, get online at our Registration Page, and sign up! After September 8, it goes up to the regular rate of $275 per person, so act now!
The Minnesota Chapter of the USCPFA, in collaboration with the Midwest Region and the national leadership of the US-China Peoples Friendship Association, will host the 27th biennial Convention of the USCPFA this fall. The Convention, organized around the theme of “Forty Years and Beyond: Friendship, Successes, and Challengesâ€, will take place at the Airport Hilton in Bloomington, MN from October 18-20, 2019. Presenters and other activities are still being finalized; Convention attendees will participate in national USCPFA business meetings, attend lectures, other presentations, and a gala dinner at the Convention location (including the “40 Videos for 40 Years†project), and share meals and a field trip to the newly-constructed St. Paul – Changsha Chinese Friendship Garden as well as the world-class Asian art collection at the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
In addition to the Convention activities, the Minneapolis – St. Paul area offers a wide range of cultural, natural, and historical activities of interest; please see the attached Activities Info and Links below for further information. Consider arriving early and staying after the Convention concludes; the room rate applies for three days before and after.
